Copy a link. Choose a file. Save it.
Open the individual public image Pin and copy its full URL or pin.it share link.
Paste the link above and select Find images. A successful request opens a separate results page.
Choose an image and download it in the format provided by Pinterest.
A downloaded file and a saved Pin are different: the file goes to your device, while a saved Pin stays on a Pinterest board.
Open MyPinDown in Safari, paste the Pin link, and download from the results page. Look in Files → Downloads, or check Safari’s Downloads list. The folder depends on your Safari settings.
To add an image to Photos, open the downloaded file and look for Save Image in its share options. Available actions depend on the file format.
Paste the link in your browser and choose the file on the results page. Check Chrome’s Downloads list or your Files app. A file may appear in your gallery, but this depends on the device and gallery app.
Copy the individual Pin URL from your address bar, submit it above, then download the file. Check your browser’s Downloads list for its location. Your browser may ask you to choose a folder.
Use a direct public Pin link for a specific image. The examples show URL structure, not live downloadable content.
| Link type | Example | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Public Pin | pinterest.com/pin/123456789/ | Available image files from that Pin. |
| Short share link | pin.it/… | Supported when it redirects to an allowed public Pinterest page. |
| Board or profile | pinterest.com/user/board/ | Initial-page resources only, up to 100 items. Not a complete account export. |
| Country domains | pinterest.co.uk, pinterest.de | Selected country domains are supported. Regional subdomains and title-slug links are not currently accepted. |
| Private or removed Pin | Requires sign-in or is unavailable | Not supported. MyPinDown cannot make restricted content public. |
“Original” means the image Pinterest publicly provides, not necessarily the camera’s original file. We prefer an original URL or the largest available version without enlarging or recompressing it. Understand original image size →
Downloads preserve the source format. A JPG does not become a transparent PNG, and a WebP is not automatically converted to JPG. For a cover image from a video Pin, use the Pinterest video downloader if you want the actual video.
Formats, access, and privacy.
Open the individual image Pin, copy its link, and select Find images above. MyPinDown prefers an original image URL when Pinterest provides one, otherwise it selects a larger available version.
You can use MyPinDown in a browser without installing a separate downloader or creating an account. The file is saved using your browser’s download controls.
Pinterest may return a resized version rather than the uploader’s original file. MyPinDown cannot recover missing pixels or reverse compression already applied to the source.
The download keeps the format Pinterest supplies. An image may be JPEG, PNG, or WebP. MyPinDown does not convert it to JPG or create a transparent PNG.
No full-board export is provided. Public boards and profiles return only the resources included in the initial page, up to 100 items. Results are downloaded individually; there is no ZIP export.
A video Pin may expose a cover image. An image result is not the video itself; use the video downloader to look for an available MP4.
No. The source bytes are transferred without added compression, resizing, or branding. Existing creator marks and compression from Pinterest remain.
We do not save image files on the server. Result links and file details are kept temporarily in your tab for 30 minutes; media bytes are not stored by MyPinDown.
